Durham Region, ON - In September of 2022, Canadian Heavy Metal Legends Anvil played The Edge Lounge in Ajax during the band's Impact is Imminent Tour. On the bill that night was a local Durham Region band called Tears of a Deity. With the band's style of dark, brooding heaviness, they caught my ear, and I have had them on my radar ever since.

Tears of a Deity was founded by vocalist and guitarist Terry Coad. Although it was the band's music that originally piqued my interest, it's not specifically the music from the band that has triggered this spotlight. Rather, it's the man behind it all that deserves the publicity, and he is the driving motivation for this article.

In the arts world today, multi-talented artists are becoming increasingly more popular. Recently, I attended an art exhibit for Billy Idol guitarist Billy Morrison. Johnny Depp, and Keanu Reeves also fall into this category having talent across different mediums within the art world. And Terry Coad is a multi-talented artist. Outside of his musical abilities, Coad is a music engineer, producer and mixer. He has also done all of the band's music videos, and most recently, he has created his new company TCo. Studios Canada.

With TCo. Studios Canada now launched, Coad intends to take his talents to the next level. "I'm gearing up to be a film and media composer and music producer" Coad states. "Music production is something I have been doing for the past 10 years, and Tears [of a Deity] was my learning tool. I engineered, produced and mixed all our stuff."

Terry Coad's studio has a couple of chilling short horror films under their belt. While the visuals are haunting, it's the sound design within any great piece of film that truly makes your emotions come alive. Having composed, edited and designed the sound for both films, Terry Coad and TCo. Studios Canada clearly have the expertise to bring this style of artform to life.

And with Tears of a Deity's 2023 6-track EP Dragging out the Inevitable (along with the band's music videos), Durham Region truly has a multi-talented artist in their midst.

TCo. Studios Canada is a company offering everything in relation to music production that any prospective client may require.
