Kerry King Rises from Hell, and Heads Right Into Canada!!

By: Jay Broderick - Kerry King! The name in itself is synonymous with Thrash Metal. Whether you were a teenager when Slayer stormed onto the scene in 1983 with their debut album Show No Mercy, or you are a teenager today some 40+ years later, if you are a fan of metal music, you know this man! With the unfortunate and untimely end of his former band, King has risen from hell, and is embarking on a headlining North American tour with his brand new band. And the tour will see an unusual 6 Canadian stops.

Amassing a killer lineup with Slayer mate Paul Bostaph on drums, Mark Osegueda of Death Angel on vocals, guitarist Phil Demmel of Category 7 (ex of Machine Head), and former Hellyeah bassist Kyle Sanders, King's ensemble recorded and released From Hell I Rise in 2024. The album came with massive praise. With the classic end-of-year "Top" lists, the recording was named the #1 Hard Rock/Heavy Metal album by both Rolling Stone and Loudwire.

Kerry King played dates in Europe in 2024, and toured with Lamb of God and Mastodon in a supporting role for the former bands' co-headlining tour here in North America. But this is 2025! On January 15, King and his new band will kick off their own 28 date headlining tour at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, California. What is a little unusual with this tour however, is that Kerry King will actually play 6 Canadian dates. With the cost of touring on the rise since the Covid-19 pandemic, not many bands cover all of Canada's larger cities. King will though! With support on this tour from Alien Weaponry and Municipal Waste, the tour will hit Canadian cities Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto and Montreal.

For us here, King's band will storm Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on February 1, thanks to F7 Entertainment. Just think of this... Kerry King, at an intimate, 1500 seat capacity venue. If this was "Slayer", you would never get a ticket. For all you Torontonian Metal-Heads, it's an absolute no-brainer to see the man that IS Slayer, with his all-new cast, churning out all-new tracks, from the #1 metal album of 2024. And as of publish time, a quick check reveals there are still tickets to be had. WHAT????

If you miss Slayer, DON'T MISS THIS!!!!
